MS documents with fields cannot be processed properly. Would be great, if SDL guys could resolve the issue in SP3. You might try converting TM to Trados 2007 format and "translate" it again in Workbench to bypass the segments with fields. | Subject: | | Comment: | The contents of this post will automatically be included in the ticket generated. Fields are usually not a problem | Nov 5, 2010 | However your error message seems to tell you, that already the source document has been damaged. Could you please test, if you are able to open the untouched source and then immediately save it as target? If that works, the error is indeed in the translation. Did you run the tag verifier on the file?MS documents with fields cannot be processed properly. I cannot confirm that - to the contrary I can process all Word documents I try to. However, some repair before I start translating is sometimes necessary. | Subject: | | Comment: | The contents of this post will automatically be included in the ticket generated. Can anybody help please? This is a very common error and is usually due to the fact that you have a segment with a tag that has not been transferred to the target segment. You'll very often find such tags in segments containing hyperlinks, such as URLs (e.g. www.company.com). Check your documents for such tags and make sure that they have all been transferred to the target segment.
